That’s quite optimistic but hope we’re allowed to go to concerts by that time. That’s also a LONG tour but artists and record labels have to make that money back at some point, selling and streaming albums is not as profitable anymore but it’s The Weeknd so who knows, I don't think he has to worry about that right now since he has one of the best selling singles and albums of 2020.

I’m so here for postponing 2020 tours to 2022. I couldn’t care less if an artist’s latest album was released in 2020. Most artists perform old hits (+ new songs) on tour anyway so I really think tour schedules do not need to coincide so closely with an album release. Also, I don’t think touring on a 2020 album in 2022 in any way inhibits an artist from releasing new music, if they really wanted to. Look at how the Fame Ball tour morphed into the Monster Ball tour only 2 months after it ended.
