Biden hasn’t issued any drone strikes, and he’s absolutely taking meaningful action for the pandemic. Where did he deprive the poor of healthcare? It sounds like you are woefully ignorant to what is ACTUALLY going on right now. He’s been president for all of two weeks, and has already made massive change to repair the US from the garbage bin of a human that was Donald Trump. It doesn’t sound like you are a socialist at all, it sounds like you are simply bitter, and that’s not a good look.

If you want to know what Biden has done in the  two weeks of being president, actually read the executive orders he’s signed. Maybe also look into what a president CAN do on their own without Congress.

Every moment that Biden fails to move forward with M4A (or at least emergency single-payer for COVID) is a moment in which he is depriving poor people of the basic human right of health care.

He has not taken meaningful action for the pandemic. Thousands of people are dying every day. He should be paying people to stay home for a few months until this is under control, but he's not.

The only changes have been aesthetic, nothing structural.

This is just absolutely ridiculous and gaslighting about the $2,000 checks.

Dems in GA ran and WON because they promised $2,000 checks. And already they've gone back on that promise.

$1,400 now because a meager $600 that already passed and is helping no one cover their MONTHS of being unemployed and not being able to afford their rent and bills is NOT what they promised, and is pathetic.

It's simply more standard politicians politicking to get around what they promised and it's unacceptable.

This is the kind of thing regular people can't stand and are going to see right through.

A promise is a promise, and Dems ONCE AGAIN are going back on them and offering crumbs in return.

Stop trying to always cover for the establishment Dems you clearly love so much and just be honest for once :smh:

You said he wasn't playing games with Republicans on the same day he went to negotiate with the Republicans. The Biden press secretary said today that they are looking into means-testing the pathetic $1400 one-time payment, which is something Republicans were requesting.

$1400 is not "pretty good." People are out of work for a year and you think a $1400 one-time payment is "pretty good." What planet do you live on?

That was Donald Trump's $600 and Biden doesn't get to pretend he had anything to do with it. Biden promised $2000 and now it's down to $1400 at best. That's what we call a lie.

Also, I love how you cannot disprove any of the terrible things Biden has done so you just have to call it "sensational and untrue."

Dude it's clear you're just here to complain. Try that somewhere else.

What is this mess...

This thread is literally about the meaningful covid relief he’s working on, which is CLEARLY a bigger priority than M4A right now...

$1400 is not meaningful covid relief.

And you realize that covid is like a virus, that like makes people sick?

How could M4A not be a priority rn? :flop:

I agree that it will probably take a long time to pass M4A, but that's because both political parties are bought and owned by the private insurance and pharmaceutical industries.

And of those thousands that died today, hundreds of them could have been saved if we had single-payer system, which Joe Biden has suggested he'd veto.

How am I proposing suicide?

They are ignoring the facts...that 1400 per person is just one part of a large relief package. Also included are Unemployment benefits (at an additional 400 per week), student loan deferment until September, $350 billion in state, local and tribal relief, funds for Covid-19 vaccines and testing and rent and mortgage assistance.

The real benefit for unemployed individuals comes with an extra 1600 every month, loan deferments, and rent/mortgage insurance.

BS. Those thousands of people were all in the same hospitals, with the same level of care, whether they had insurance or not. A lack of insurance is not keeping severe Covid victims from getting expert care. “Hundreds” were not put out on the streets to die. That’s just straight up ridiculous.

As to 1400 “not being enough”, look at my comment above.

1 in every 5 dollars in the US is spent on healthcare. It makes sense that it we take months to write legislation that dramatically rewrites a fifth of our economy, it’s not bc they’re bought out.

We don’t have time to wait for M4A buddy use context clues

LMAO in what way would M4A make covid less bad 😂😂

Omg, you really don't understand this, do you?

People who don't have health insurance delay going to the doctor's to receive care because they do not want to bankrupt themselves by committing the crime of needing treatment. This delay in care results in worsened disease, which leads to deaths that would have prevented had people not been so concerned about the cost.

Studies show that Medicare for All would save nearly 70,000 lives every year because it would eliminate these delays, increase the preventative care, eliminate drug rationing, among others.

If we had a single-payer system in which poor people were not terrified to go to the doctor, thousands of the people who died from covid would have been saved.

This is the systemic violence that neoliberals like Joe Biden perpetuate, in addition to police violence, military violence, and more.

1400 is not enough, regardless of whatever other crumbs are thrown into the paltry package. He promised 2000, which wasn't enough either, but it should be pointed out that he has already lied about a major campaign promise.
