AFRICOM has conducted three airstrikes against al-Shabab compounds and key leaders in Somalia since Jan. 15, an estimated 700 troops withdrew from the country on orders from former President Donald Trump. The command has conducted a total of six airstrikes since the new year began, according to an AFRICOM spokesman as of Jan. 24. “Al-Shabaab remains a threat to the U.S. and a dangerous enemy,” said Air Force Col. I mean, Biden’s commander in chief so he has the power, but this was also happening under Trump. And also, I’m not sure, targeting terrorists is nice, but putting civilians at risk isn’t the best. Yeah, but it's different agencies that deal with foreign and domestic threats. The military fights foreign ones and the FBI is on the ball rounding up MAGA insurrectionists and keeping an ear to the ground for alt-right domestic terrorism. OT: It's good that these threats are taken out but I hope they're extremely careful about where they point those things. Civilians who aren't knowingly part of the 'terrorist' anti west paramilitary really shouldn't be killed... at the same time , such creatures use civilian shields and try to blend into residential areas to conceal their activities. . so ... its a tough call... like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still.
