GagaisHotAF 419 Posted February 2, 2021 Share Posted February 2, 2021 As was mentioned in the AARP article, there was documentary footage shot for the upcoming Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga album. Will this be used for music video footage similarly to Cheek to Cheek era videos? Or will this be a documentary film to accompany the album similarly to the Cheek to Cheek PBS concert special? If it is the latter, it could be a powerful and educational documentary on Alzheimers which would fit appropriately on PBS. Especially since Gaga is so focused on mental health, it would be a missed opportunity not to discuss the disease and spread awareness, especially if this is Tony’s last album. What an honor to end his artistic chapter with Gaga right besides him...it makes me emotional just thinking about it. He is also almost 100 so there is no sugar coating around the topic and he also likely knows that so it will probably be unfiltered (I hope). I am looking forward to seeing this project. I meant that would a documentary be in place of the concert given they most likely won’t be able to perform a live special (with COVID). By the sounds of it he wasn't very verbal in 2018 so it's unlikely unfortunately. They are only going ahead with it bc he's still able to sing. And knowing Gaga, she will lead the whole project and promo in such way that it honors him, his whole life, career and legacy. Probably the song choices as well. A real interesting time to see her career at one of her peaks and to see her recovery.
