To the people who marked this commend "Sad":  if a Madonna fan is calling someone old like it's a bad thing, it's probably a joke.  :teehee:

And I agree with Jill, if we're getting another jazz album, even if it's a jazz version of the entire joanne album, just shut up and pretend you like it because we can't stop it anyway.  :vegas:

i wish joanne were jazz instead of the sound it got. her voice does not fit country twang nearly as well as jazz.

I wonder which one is her first choice for LG5? The alleged dark pop Frankensteined with RedOne or this Jazz?

this makes me believe that gaga wanted to go in a Back To Black kind of direction for Joanne at first. You can definitely hear the jazz influence in songs like Come To Mama and Just Another Day

That could have been better than what we got :selena:

At least we got a small tease of what that could've been like with Look What I Found. :flutter:

Sneaky Oliver

It makes sense that she wanted to experiment with Jazz for the -then- follow-up to C2C. If she managed to mix jazz with modern pop... that would be epic! Since she had written some songs during C2C sessions and worked with RedOne for Angel Down later on, it's pretty clear she wanted to do an acoustic/ballad album and it kind of feels more genuine within the Lady Gaga "universe" than country/americana.

So Mark is probably where the country-like idea came from. Gaga told us she wanted to dedicate this project for her family and especially her dad (the whole "healing my dad" thing) but she used to say her dad loved classic rock n' roll so I wonder why she didn't go for that route instead of country.

I think the "original LG5", in addition to having lyrical themes inspired by AHS and spooki stuff, was also supposed to have stuff from her "jazzpunk" period on there. Oh lord I'm building up the myth of LG5 to be everything stans ever hoped for
