JoeMo 3,837
I doubt their intentions were to offend but it was in poor taste. www.youtube.com/jmremixes
Supersonic 49,376
Transgender women being the butt of the joke by a cis heterosexual male? Groundbreaking. Never happened before. Totally deviant from the status quo.
FATCAT 59,855
Yikes, while I think we should give a little leeway to comedians every now and then for bad jokes, it seems like he/they/whoever wrote it just didn’t know what the hell they were talking about. Educate yourselves people! Don’t joke about sensitive topics if you don’t actually have an in-depth knowledge. This kitten over here (meow)
MessyTop 14,389
Bad joke. Bad comedy. No more jokes making trans folk the pun of jokes. Enough.
LittleMonster20 9,832
Unnecessary.
elijahfan 25,742
While I didn't think the joke was particularly funny or groundbreaking, it really didn't come across as offensive to me when I watched as SNL is very much good-intentioned about those topics. Pretty much flew over my head. Then again, I'm not transgendered so who am I to tell anyone how they should feel.
Queen Bitch 10,513
I highly doubt there was malicious intent behind the joke BUT it is so tiring to see transgender people (and LGBTQ+ people in general) being the butt of jokes. It's really getting old.

Chromatican 4,046
Sorry, but this joke was not transphobic at all. LGBT jokes need to be okay at some point. This is a very harmless joke, told to an audience that was obviously pro-trans based on their response to Biden’s decision. This is very different from comedians telling homophobic jokes back in the 80s. As minority groups become more accepted, jokes about them need to become more accepted as well. This pearl clutching about everything is why so many legit allies to the LGBT community feel intimidated and like they’re walking on eggshells. People on drag race make jokes about tucking all the time, and many trans people have a sense of humor about themselves. This joke is at least better than the “I identify as an attack helicopter” jokes from six years ago.
ALGAYDO 31,384
That wasn’t transphobic at all, tho.

If a trans woman was offended by it who are you to dictate how they feel? There is no universal joke. Also I don't think drag race is a fair comparison as almost the entirety of the casts are made up of gay men...
Beanybb 1,235
I also don't wanna see hoards of gay men saying "iTs NoT tRaNsPhOBic" when it's literally not for you decide lmao This shite happens all the time on here, just learn to be quiet sometimes x
