He said videos of the plugged-in simians would be released soon, perhaps in around a month. “We have a monkey with a wireless implant in their skull with tiny wires who can play video games with his mind,” Musk said on Clubhouse. “You can’t see where the implant is and he’s a happy monkey. We have the nicest monkey facilities in the world. Can you read his thoughts? before anyone starts how this is sad, but we aren't complaining about the covid vaccine trials being tested on animals. What Elon is doing might not be necessary in peoples eyes, but if AI becomes sentient (which it most likely will at some point), we are going to be ****ed if we aren't having some sort of intergration with cloud based storage/interfaces etc. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

As long as the monkey is not suffering pain and stuff, if he manages tocreate something for people with brain and spinal injuries who cannot move their body anymore... that would be really great and amazing imo. There are many people like that and they deserve attention and they deserve the help of technology to improve their lives no girl, testing on animals is immoral and we don't need to do it anymore in the modern era. especially not in situations like this. there's plenty of other avenues to go down that don't involve torturing animals. where did it say he was doing this for medical studies like that? seems to me he's just a rich weirdo who wants to see what would happen if he did this.
