. Beatboom was here throwing petty comments at us "haters" (as a side note, this term is so tired... the middle school rhetoric where anyone that dislikes something is a "hater" has to go) before I even commented.

This person acted like those numbers should shut our mouth. I'm here to say it doesn't. My opinion hasn't changed.

Lol no. I'm just very happy for her and smug on her and Sarah's behalf. Absolutely nobody expects you to love this brand but the persistent way some have trashed it has been pathetic and so unnecessary.

And your criticisms are pretty meaningless now anyway. Before we had no figures to go on. Now we do. Even if its not revenue, we know she is up there with long established brands and that's impressive by anyone's standards

In my experience any negative comment towards the brand gets hysterical reactions from Haus Labs defenders. Beatboom was here throwing petty comments at us "haters" (as a side note, this term is so tired... the middle school rhetoric where anyone that dislikes something is a "hater" has to go) before I even commented.

But the point is that every single thread about it is always flooded with these discussions in the first place. Never a ‘oh I really like x product’ or ‘wow this brand is amazing’ or ANY appreciation. There’s always arguments. And the fact that someone started mouthing off the haters is because it’s expected at this point.

And maybe you Haus Labs bashers should shut your mouths in the first place. I’m not here to get into an argument but again why comment if you don’t like the brand? Let people enjoy their brand. It’s perfectly fine to not like it. But others do and we don’t need this negative energy in every single thread a year after the brand debuted.

Sorry, rereading it I see what you mean

It's okay don't worry, I can see how my wording was vague and did appear to embrace Amazon's practices and HL's team-up with them. I'm glad you brought that aspect up by the way, Amazon's treatment of its workforce is another beast and a speedbump I have when deciding whether to purchase something, though I'll drop that topic for now.

I am honestly shocked, I'm very pleased for the team and I have some products of theirs too. I am only puzzled because I barely ever see it mentioned or reviewed in the makeup community besides their obviously iconic liquid eyeliner.

The KOHL eyeliner is ****ing so good too.

But I do for sure need them to step their quality up on some of the products, they could be even more massive

I want the full eyeliner set so bad. :fatcat: Gel, Kohl, micro-tip and the regular bc you can never have enough black liner. But I can’t justify the price right now, maybe later this year lol if filing my taxes isn’t a disaster.

Also thanks for stating that, i’m not hating at all when I say i don’t see a lot of people excited about this brand. I watch hours of beauty youtubers including channels that get like 60 views per video and a lot of people have similar feedback about lack of an exciting colour story and middling quality of some of the products.

That said if I had the money I would buy every single thing. But in terms of products I need, the price is not worth it for stuff like a 2 pan blush/highlighter palette.

Well I don't see why you guys think we owe good opinions to Gaga-related projects. That alone highlights the huge problem here. If something she does happen to be mediocre, we shouldn't expect the discussions about it to be all positive. This brand, to the outside non-biased makeup world, is mediocre. I don't get why it's so wild to you that the comments on here would reflect that?

See it's the pot calling the kettle back here. My negative opinion on the brand does not affect your ability to like the brand. I'm free to post it, and you're free to aknowledge it or not. It doesn't stop positive discussions from happening in the same thread.

I don't know where that notion that we should only discuss things we like come from, but it's weird. Go to any non-Gaga related thread on this website and you'll see people have both positive and negative opinions about things without fighting.

Somehow you guys have decided that a negative opinion on a BRAND is negativity period. If you can't see how that's problematic, there's nothing I can tell you.

Hope this puts her back on those Forbes lists. It was kinda embarrassing seeing her so low relative to her peers.

(JLo, Ariana, Pink, Billie, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Beyonce, and Taylor are all above her)

Also insanely impressive how much higher Fenty is thab everyone else :deadbanana:

Also no wonder Rihanna doesnt give a sh*t about music anymore and I hope Gaga isnt starting to go the same way :messga:

Edit: But i also wonder how much of this revenue is actual profit and i wonder also how much Lady Gagas share is :oprah:

You can be happy for her without liking the brand. Which is my case.

As I said, popularity does not equate quality. What a sad world would it be if we had to like everything popular?

Actually, this is pretty much what is going on here. Since we're on a Gaga forum, the majority likes this brand because it's related to her, and you guys wanna force us to like it or at least not vocalize our opinion. Which is quite frankly stupid.

We have tons of reasons to dislike the brand, yet you wanna make it all about spite or "being obsessed" or whatever fits your narrative where anyone that dislikes this brand is a mean hater.

All that Fenty revenue.

Wouldn't blame Rihanna for giving up music for make-up

If you live and die for music, then you wouldn't quit, sorry.

Yup. The fact it sells on Amazon and has been kept to the most neutral generic color palette there is tells me this is a brand for midwestern soccer moms more than anything else. I guess that's the core demographic.

Cause actual makeup people don't like the brand. I know some people will still say we're being "negative" or whatever. But when the beauty community is so blatantly lukewarm about a brand, it should tell you that there is some validity in the critics.

And before I get told "it sells so it's a good brand", I can remind you of products like the St Ives Scrub which are bestsellers and found in basically every household despite being objectively terrible for your skin. Or Dance Monkey topping the charts. The general public has **** taste and popularity isn't the sole indicator for quality, in all industries.

It's a generic, uninspired brand with no real identity. The quality is ok to good, nothing oustanding and doesn't warrant the price point.

So no, those numbers don't suddenly make me like Haus Labs.
