Tbh, there are quite a few Republicans that detest Trump or voted for him simply because they hate Dems enough/it was their "only" option. I doubt a party could survive solely off of his hardcore base, or at least be viable for the presidency. Moderates and swing voters would more than likely stay with the GOP so what does this achieve?
