GeeYewWhai 2,282 Posted January 19 (edited) I just discovered her. Her album "Un Canto por México, Vol. 1," is a damn masterpiece that will stand the test of time imo. She blends traditional and modern in her music without sacrificing the integrity of her influences. Also her voice is gorgeous. VenusHooker 7,157 Posted January 20 She has evolved quite a bit. She started with this pop success in the early 2000's, and now she is a very different, more mature artist. This song is never missing from Mexican parties. Party you go to here in the country, party where they play this song: It is a cumbia version of the song Nunca Es Suficiente, from one of her most acclaimed albums Hasta La Raíz. last.fm/user/Garzilazo 2 1 Quote Share
 Facebook Twitter

En el 2000s was my jam I thought it was because of the cumbia song, actually it sounds in all Mexican parties I'm glad to see that she is relevant to that style of music among so much reggaeton. The video has a billion views En el 2000 it was also my jam. It brings back beautiful memories of my adolescence. LaFama 246 Posted January 20 Love her. She has changed and evolved a lot over the years, and I think that slowly, she became one of the most recognized contemporary mexican musicians. She's very passionate with her art and music in general. I think that Hasta La Raíz, and Musas are probably her best works so far, but HuHuHu remains my favorite album, it came out when I was a teenager and its full of magic and its when she started to find her own voice, I have such good memories of that era. You should listen to Mujer Divina too, which is a tribute album to Agustín Lara, one of the greatest mexican musicians of all time. (Tbh, she doesnt have a bad album ) Its not a fedora u f*ck Quote Share
 Facebook Twitter
VenusHooker 7,157 Posted January 20 By the way, if you liked Natalia Lafourcade, you might also like Julieta Venegas, Ximena Sariñana, and Carla Morrison (Billie Eilish sang a Spanish cover of one of her songs). last.fm/user/Garzilazo 1 Quote Share
 Facebook Twitter
Reject False Icons 3,101 Posted January 20 (edited) Hablas español? She has evolved so much, critics said she was heavily influenced by Björk, but she has done many things every record, and I’m glad that she is right now paying homage to regional music and classic singers Don’t forget about huhuhu azul speaks so personally to me Edited January 20 by Reject False Icons 1 Quote Share
 Facebook Twitter
