Having said that, the performance was good, the medley was inspired, and I am retracting my judgment as pre-recording is understandable given how big the moment is. And how cold it is. That’s why Beyoncé pre-recorded for her run at it. The cold is really bad for vocals especially when you’re opening your mouth that wide. They’ll freeze up fast. This performance was 100% live, you can hear her being out of tempo once, and a miniscule amount of flaws within her voice, that wouldn't happen with a pre-recorded performance. This is proof she sang the national anthem live, and did it amazingly well once again. What a queen It's hard to light a candle, easy to curse the dark instead.
