The national anthem closes out the ceremony at 12:30pm. I hate to sound morbid but if anyone was going to try anything, it would probably would have happened by then.

Same. The minute it was announced they were having a "public" (well, technically not public but not a super private in an undisclosed location inauguration) I got worried. Especially because it seems (at least so far) like a lot of "big" people will be there...it's going to be a huge target for the QAnon people. They've already arrested two people with guns, and let one guy go even though he had a ton of ammo and just "forgot" (I don't believe he just forgot).

Yeah, god...I feel so morbid even discussing it but if something's going to happen it will probably occur towards the start of the ceremony. I just find it wild that it's going on and all these major figures are showing up....

Like I understand the need to show that we won't cower to the terrorists, but at the same time it seems like having all these major figures is just making it a bigger and bigger target? I think it should just be Biden + Harris.

Stoppp, you guys are talking some scary stuff right now  I don’t like ittt, it’s gonna be alright  and why would they do anything to Gaga anyway? She is not their target. It’s gonna be alright, I am sure they wouldn’t do this publicly if they weren’t confident enough that they got this 1000%.

She wouldn't be the main target, but if this is like the previous inaugurations everyone is together in the same space....that's why everyone is so worried. The Qanon people tried to lynch Pence (I hate him, but he doesn't deserve to be murdered) and wanted to kill Pelosi. They've also repeatedly threatened to kill Harris and Biden. All of those people will be there along with other senators, members of congress, etc.

Basically, the problem is a bunch of different targets will be together in the same space and become one massive, major target. And security seems like it's not that great...they let a guy go who was caught with a ton of ammunition and a gun because he "forgot" (it's unlikely he truly forgot imo).
