i have tried ever since smile dropped to defend this woman. but she makes it very difficult. this is incredibly stupid and abusive. even if she were joking, she should know better not to joke about it because then back lash is not worth it.

Pets can be safely vegan. Cats are carnivores but dogs are omnivores. Not everyone wants to support the factory farm industry but still deserve companionship from animals.

You should see Jenna Marbles' videos about this. She and her boyfriend are super ultra vegan but realized that dogs can't be 100% vegan because it causes them health issues. Obviously she accepted that fact and still tries in every other area of her life to be vegan.

This is the woman who cried for weeks for adopting a fish and giving it the wrong fish tank, returning the fish as soon as she realized the mistake, and having an existential crisis on whether she would ever be able to take care of such a small creature.

She doesn’t seem to care about the fur industry when they skin bunnies alive to make her shoes

No, they can't.

Dogs have been shaped by domestication, and they are well-suited to an omnivorous diet.

In theory, then, dogs should be able to thrive on vegetarian or vegan diets. However, there have been few studies demonstrating this, and such diets can still be problematic. A vegan diet must be properly and carefully formulated to meet the nutritional needs of dogs, and there is less room for error than with diets containing animal ingredients. Numerous studies of commercial vegan and vegetarian pet foods have found formulation errors and inadequacies in essential nutrients.

Some studies also have found mammalian DNA in such diets, suggesting they may not even be accurately labeled as vegetarian or vegan.

Even diets that appear adequate on paper or in laboratory testing, however, may not support normal health under real-world conditions. Most commercial grain-free diets, for example, should be nutritionally complete for dogs, yet recent reports of cardiomyopathy in dogs eating such diets suggest a serious health risk for some individuals fed these diets.

Im not going vegab cause I know vegan people start to develop issues with their bodies because the loss of nutrients that only meat products give. Im definitely eating less meat than before but im not gonna only be eating fruits and veggies my whole life.

Veganism does save the planet and you will benefit regardless of your hatred for it :flower: with her dog idk given she’s so rich her dog probably eats better than 90% of Americans if we’re being real.

Let’s not act like if her dog is not checked by vets and professionals, i’m pretty sure she has enough money to do so. I’m sure she can make sure that her dog is well nourished and is healthy.

A vegan lifestyle is possible for a dog but you have to monitor lots of stuff to make sure they are healthy.

And congrats for becoming vegan, it’s amazing. I hope she uses her voice to talk about it and make people be interested in making the transition too

Adding some veggies to their diet can be good, but my puppy would be completely disappointed in me if I made them go full vegan, dogs love and are obsessed with chicken. Chicken keeps them happy and thriving.

The future's uncertain and the end is always near.

Isn't it y'all vegans who always argue humans are made to be vegans cos their teeth, now, I am sure you know how dogs teeth are, all canines.  Do you think those teeth are made to digest grains, vegetables permanently instead of meat?

Y'all are something else, honestly. :bradley:

The fact that canine teeth are literally named after dogs :selena:

My dog eats a ton of vegetables. She's literally chosen a crunchy stalk of celery over chicken before :bradley: but she still eats meat.

Idk, Katy definitely has the resources to make sure her dog is well taken care of but for the rest of us, at least give your puppy a steak now and then :neyde:

I'm just like 🧍‍♂️

Lmao, dogs don't know what they eat. They can choose chocolate and die after that

"Wooo that dog choosed meat that means it's the best thing to give them" is just silly, I'm sorry
