Now we do everything in our power to stand up to hate, racism, homophobia, transphobia, biphobia, or anything else that is hate/prejudice. Words are not enough anymore, and we need to put our money where our mouths are. It's time for change, it's time for us white people to unlearn the centuries of untruths and hate. Anything that is taught and be unlearned, and it takes time for everyone to be on the same page. But it starts with you. It won't be an easy task. This doesn't just apply to America, but globally.Ā We have to do better. Thank you Gaga for being a pillar of hope and peace. People of colour's lives matter, black/brown trans lives matter, indigenous communities matter. Its time to act upon our words. Promoting a pop album seems small now doesnāt it? I think that the complaints were in regards to her promoting literally everything else but the music (perfume, makeup, watches, you name it). I don't think selling makeup is the best way to send the message of kindness, especially when there is a price tag attached to it. Music and speeches such as this one can be way more uplifting and meaningful.
