Economists from Johns Hopkins University wanted to know which groups practice social distancing the most.

It turns out rich women, are far more dependable with the masks and hand washing and social distancing than everyone else.

The economists studied 6,000 people across six countries, and found that peek social distancers have individual incomes around $230,000 a year. They are substantially (54%) more likely to practice safe COVID-19 behaviors than low-income people.

The higher your income, the more likely you are to take protective measures, these included wearing face masks, social distancing and working from home.

Lower-income workers can find it harder to follow the rules, the team explained. for example, they are more likely to have jobs that cannot be done remotely.

The research also found that women were 23 per cent more likely than men to socially distance.

The team found that those who worked from home were 24 per cent more likely to follow the rules, while those with a garden were 20 per cent more likely.

Sorry I can’t cook and serve customers food from my home :saladga: this is pretty much a no brainer. I can go to work and be unable to socially distance in a tiny kitchen in a small restaurant or I can get evicted. I’m sure if I made $200 000 there’d be better options. :yennefer:

Isn't that obvious? Why leave when you don't have to work to survive, you can afford delivery food every meal, you can work out at home and you can pay to get anyone that could visit you tested or the people you know are more likely to be sble to stay 14 days at home before visiting you?

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Bonkers

This is also explained by the fact that they want to continue living more than the rest of us. :teehee:

As if people living in slums in India here can afford to maintain social distancing in an extremely congested area of dwelling :selena:
