I get that most people (like myself) have very positive feelings towards the animated show, but it never claimed to be that or a 1:1 copy. I went in thinking it was going to be bad, i would hate it and it would ruin Winx Club for me - but it didn’t. What I thought of it: Spoiler I found the first 3 episodes painful to watch, tho I must admit that in the last 3 episodes the story became more interesting, so I wanted to know how it ended. But overall I'm still really disapointed in this adaption. I really don't understand what people love so much about this reimagined version. Even if it wasn't based on Winx, I still don't get the appeal. I know there also a lot of people who are disapointed like I am, but still. Spoiler When I watched it wasn't like ''Oh I wish this world was real, I want to go there''. Not at all. Everyone and everything in this show looks so bland and boring. Just not visually pleasing. Not original. It didn't feel very magical. The characters are unlikeable. Also this show tries to be woke sometimes, but there is also fatjokes and homophobia. What is so fun about that? It tries to be mature to put in a lot of unessasary swearing to make it edgy, which actually comes of as more childish. The whitewashing is still unforgiveble. The story felt rushed, but I see some pontential, so at least that is positive. I could write many more aout why I didn't like it, but I won't because it would be to much to type. Will I watch season 2? Maybe, It depends on the trailer they release. A second season could be way better, tho a lot has to be fixed. I hope they take criticism from fans. Make it all look and feel more magical and fun. Half of the time I felt like watching some survival camp show with monsters. Also I hope the cast becomes more divers in the next season. I doubt all this will happen. I guess it will stay a cringey teendrama. I'm not saying it's one of the worst shows ever, It's just not for me.
