A manatee was spotted in Florida this week with the name "TRUMP" written on its back. The Center for Biological Diversity has called for help in discovering who caused this, with a rewards for the person/people that find the perpetrator. The manatee is a part of an already threatened species. A multitude of conservationists were highly alarmed by this, with Jaclyn Lopez saying, "It's heartbraking that this manatee was subjected to this vile, criminal act. It's clear that whoever harmed this defenseless, gentle giant is capable of doing grave violence and needs to be apprehended immediately."

This was a wild manatee. Wild ones in the US mostly live in Florida.

And most aquariums do not have them. Sea World only has a few locations (3 I think?).

Huh, because I saw them at both EPCOT and SeaWorld Orlando I assumed that more aquariums had them, but apparently they're only found at a few other aquariums/zoos in Florida and Columbus Zoo and Cincinatti Zoo outside of Florida. SeaWorld San Diego and San Antonio don't seem to have them.
