White House lowers flag to half-staff for murdered Capitol cop

The White House finally lowered its flags to half staff on Sunday after the murder of Officer Brian Sicknick during the MAGA mob's storming of the Capitol.

Donald Trump faced  3 days of criticism for not immediately ordering the flag be lowered.

Sicknick, 42, died Thursday from brain injuries he sustained while defending the Capitol building from pro-Trump rioters after he was hit over the head with a fire extinguisher.

Trump said the flag lowering was to show respect for the service and sacrifice of 'all law enforcement'.

He also made mention of  Capitol Police officer Howard Liebengood, 51, who died Saturday by suicide.
