But a lot of times he uses dog whistles and doesn’t explicitly endorse stuff, so it’s hard to condemn him for anything. I don’t need further proof to be convinced. To me he’s a terrorist and he launched this terrorist attack. But his base denies everything, so if there is a clear instance of him endorsing the terrorist attacks, please provide it so I can rub it in their face Ok. In fairness I was trying to make a point in a homorous way. Trump didn't explicitly say or suggest to anyone that they should storm the capitol or try to overthrow the government, and I'm sure he could mount a defence in court to whatever charge might get thrown at him. The serious point is that we have all seen and heard what he has done over the last two months. It is ridiculous that he has been able to do it, but the law obviously allows it. Personally, I think that the statement he made on the Thursday after the election should have been enough to get him arrested, but clearly it wasn't/isn't and I think that needs to change. He continued with similar statements and similar language throughout the following two months and it ended in disaster on Wednesday. I say ended, but that remains to be seen. So I think my criticism should be of the law rather than anyone who is trying to apply it. And apologies to CNN.
