We don't think it is funny - but it is part of the circle of life. Nobody is downplaying that it is painful to loose somebody. But being bitter about it towards others does not change it. It is like you want everybody to stop see good things / "be happy" because you are having a rough time. She might have been super anxious about getting it and now she finally knows how her body reacts to it. It's important to remember empathy extends to lighter feelings as well.
