Democrats Win Senate

As others have said, it's almost ALWAYS voting by party lines these days in the Senate. And, if there's ever a change of heart, it's usually the right to left, not the other way around. Furthermore, horse trading can now happen for those left leaning moderates (ie you want to be on Committee X? Fine. Be sure to vote left on Issue Y...) to make sure they stay leaning left. Personally, I hate that but for once it will at least work in our favor.

But that's not good though. A single party should not control 100% two branches of government.

So what is the point of votes if the party is gonna tell it's members how they have to vote? :duck:

It’s not that they are being told how to vote, it’s that US political partisanship is so strong that people now do not typically vote against their party for many reasons. So party loyalty is more important to our political leaders that we continue to elect than individualism and morality.

Yes and so much more. Statehood to PR and D.C., healthcare, human rights, etc.

I doubt that most of that is gonna happen. The $2,000 checks yes, but everything else except for things related to stopping COVID and maybe human rights things like the Equality Act?

This is Joe Biden and establishment Democrats we're talking about.  :huntyga:

They ain't going to fight for or do these other things unless they're forced to, which remains to be seen.
