Trump has divided the population of the States so deeply, President-elect Biden will have to do a lot of hard work to unite the country again." Peter Altmaier (Minister of Economy): "Democracy is stronger and more important than the wants of an individual person. Even if that person is the president of the United States." If they had treated Trump the way they treated Nixon nearly two generations ago, he would had been long since impeached. Just as the German conservatives allowed Hitler to come in to power because they thought they could control him, the entire GOP (with the exception of Mitt Romney) has been enabling Trump’s actions and not holding him accountable. The storming of the capitol in an attempt to overthrow our constitutional system of government and overthrow the will of American voters is the inevitable result of aiding and abetting Trump.
