If you are going to put your economy through a lockdown to benefit peoples health then do it. Lock the country down with only grocery stores, trash disposal, and hospitals open. Maybe gas stations where absolutely needed and that's it. If you leave your home for any reason other than food or medical help then you're fined. I don't understand the point of going through this multiple times if you don't ever do it well enough to be effective in the first place. Or walk your dog dont forget that one

They should use these lockdowns to vaccinate millions. Vaccines should be going out as normal throughout the lockdown. In comparison to other parts of the world the UK is doing pretty well for vaccinating at the minute. Over 1m vaccinated so far. Then there's the likes of France that only vaccinated just over 500 people as of New Years Day (yes, 500). This isn't to say that the rollout can't be improved here but with the Oxford vaccine being approved the amount of people vaccinated should speed up. There's worries about the stock of the vaccine for second doses, some may get held back for that. A bit of a mess? yes... A disaster? not quite

A disaster? not quite I meant the only giving one dose of Pfizer etc. They should just focus on getting all of these vaccines available rolled out. France though? Christ. LastNight 5,943
It feels so bleak here. Horrible cold weather, dark at 4.30 and more of these lockdowns that have never been enforced properly. It’s absolutely necessary to lock us down again, and I actually wish they were way stricter, but I still can’t help being down about it. Life just feels like an endless half-existence at the minute. I shouldn’t complain because there are so many people who have it so much worse than I do, but it really is depressing.
