Our current government is incompetent and corrupt, and tens of thousands more people have died than should have as a result. They have bungled the response to the pandemic almost EVERY step of the way. Herd immunity. Locking down too late, twice. Eat out to help out. Promising to allow people to mix over Christmas. The f*cking shambles that is 'NHS' Track and Trace. Hundreds of millions spent on Nightingale Hospitals that they can't staff. Going against expert advice on the vaccine rollout. Keeping the schools open when the numbers of people being infected has never been worse. The list doesn't end. The truth is thick people are behind Boris because he's likeable. Because he's funny.
