This is no true. Hero is one of her most recognized songs. Here in Brazil, at least, "My All" was huge, along with "I don't know what love is". "Without you" is also huuge in the world. She was super successful in Asia too

My All - 1998 - number 1 only in the US (cracked Top 40 in a handful of countries)

I don't mean to say she isn't successful. Of course, she is. BUT, she currently fits what you describe as a local artist, and even in the US she hasn't got a number 1 album in years.

Thank you dahling for that. She WAS worldwide. And not disputing that she did sell very well and was very successful.

But nowadays, all people remember her for is for AIWFC, and that's a fact. Just look at the meme's making fun of her 'going back to the ocean' now that Christmas is over.

Are you really comparing MC with JLO? ELECTRIC CHAIR. Both are legends in there own way, but you just don't compare one of the BEST singers in history with an artist like JLO, such a disrespect to even do it. It disgust me. And BTW AIWFC is already a classic of the holiday, which is very hard for an artist to achieve, so kuddos to Mariah, her voice is just angelical. A truly queen
