People make mistakes & what they say gets misconstrued, you can’t expect everyone to know the perfect thing to say at every moment & the fact you’re trying to cancel her for something so MINOR because yes, it’s MINOR, is just ridiculous. Especially given her history with the LGBTQ community. She explained what she meant, that’s it. You don’t get to say she meant it any other way because she didn’t. I merely said I think other people shouldn’t be forgiving her /for/ trans people. You’re perfectly allowed to feel any way you want about this and nobody can tell you that you’re wrong or feel differently. I didn’t even attack her once in this thread, I just gave my opinion on what she said. I don’t know that much about her besides the memes. I’m not trying to cancel her, and my comments and impact overall are just as much mild as what she did, if not more mild. Do I think she’s genuinely transphobic? I dunno. Maybe. It wasn’t exactly the best apology or clarification. Do I think if she is, it’s that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things? No. And I called for nobody to cancel her. However, I did see a lot of trans activists saying some disgusting stuff to her. How is that any better? If you want respect , you need to give respect. In so many ways, we are quite different. A lot of gay men are very transphobic. This idea we live under this happy lgbt umbrella is very naive. You don't have to be trans to know what is considered transphobic. Do you have to be gay to know what is considered homophobic in society?
