Argentina became the first major country in Latin America to legalize abortion when the Senate voted early on Wednesday to allow it through the 14th week of pregnancy, in the face of opposition from the influential Catholic Church.
Argentine law has only allowed abortion when there is a serious risk to the health of the mother or in cases of rape.
In Latin America, abortions are available on demand only in Communist Cuba, comparatively tiny Uruguay and some parts of Mexico.

That feeling when your country finally does something good... :selena: I'm not saying I'm proud, that's a long way away, but I'm really happy!

I'm so happy for women in my country! Now it's a long way to make it safe and trustworthy but this is a beginning.

Now we only need to get rid of our corrupt government and we'll be a better country someday :huntyga:

Kindness rules all.

It seems to me that the legalization of justified abortion is a normal practice. The person who coined this term was not a hero but he correctly assessed the needs of people. I recommend reading about the Filipino hero Josie Rizal. He became a Filipino hero for students and people who love freedom of speech and freedom of decision. I'm sorry that we don't have modern heroes in this direction.

I wanted to add information about the national hero. I found some cool facts about his revolutionary movement in the Philippines. Republic Act no. 1425, commonly known as the Rizal Law, is basically about the obligation of all schools in the Philippines to teach the life and works of Jose Rizal, the national hero, in commemoration of all the sacrifices of our heroes in the fight for our freedom.
