rumours 45,521 Posted December 29, 2020 Share Posted December 29, 2020 After recent reports of a new COVID variant spreading in parts of Europe, the first case of the COVID-19 variant B.1.1.7 was reported today in Colorado. According to the Denver Post, the individual who had the strain was a "man in his 20s... [who] is isolating and has no travel history". As previously reported, the strain in question does appear to be much more contagious but does not seem to have more severe symptoms. This comes off the back of cases continuing to rise in The United States of America. Let's hope increased vaccine availability over the next few months will help mitigate much of the potential damage.
