They promoted it before, had merch for it, and even released a lyric video. I really don't understand why they'd want to revive it instead of doing something brand new. Also, I think for Chromatica, we should stop talking about which songs are "single worthy" in terms of commercial performance. I think it's very clear that at this point, Gaga and her team don't really care about the commercial success of their singles for Chromatica. If they did, they would've done a lot more for 911, which had a lot of potential as well. It is instantly catchy for the gp, the views will be the highest we'll ever get in a mv and it will boost the overall album streams unlike any other song choice while the pandemic is still happening and she cannot perform it a million times like MR.
