SharkmanthaC 115,044
A CEO of an LA hospital is so over run with covid patients that she worries they will start having to ration care. Dr. Elaine Batchlor, CEO of Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital in Los Angeles, said Monday that staff may soon have to ration care if the number of coronavirus patients rises. Batchlor said her hospital is so overwhelmed with coronavirus cases, it is now treating patients in the gift shop and chapel. .... “We use what in the battlefield is called triage techniques, which is doing an assessment of each person's needs and prognosis and using scarce resources with patients that are most likely to benefit from them,” she said. INNA 3,788
The nicest way of saying “We will have to decide who we are going to try and save” because you don’t have resources to save them all. Being a triage nurse is similar to the trolley moral dilemma comic IMO, bless the people who are dedicating their actual life to giving someone a shot at not dying. fragment-fragment--bul-uh...scab-uh..fragment-foot, bullet fragment foot bich! I don't know if ur refering to how America handled the virus or the medical system If it was a jab at the medical system, for all its flaws, in terms of capacity it is not behind most Nations. Here in Canada we would not be able to absorb your kind of number either. In fact some hospitals here are very strained too In Portugal where some of my family lives they are beyond strained

ALMOST EVERY SINGLE ONE was making gathering plans with friends and eachother for Christmas... After my Province went back into lockdown and specifically asked ppl not to gather with those outside their immediate household And the halerious thing is all the hypocrites constantly dragging other ppl for not taking covid seriously enough when they prove time and time again they are actually in the same camp But then again my city has consistently been the worst city in Canada for covid and a consistent hot spot so I guess we're worse than most Canadians We often have close to as many daily cases as Toronto even tho we have 1/5 the population (3 Million vs 620,00)

I know someone who talked a lot about taking it seriously and then went on to travel with like 5 of her friends wtf. Yup. Same type of stuff I see Another extremely recent example (literally today)... A girl at work that hates ppl not taking it seriously... She shows up with new done hair and I asked her how she styled it that well on her own... She said she didn't do it on her own. Then I asked her how, we've been in lockdown again for weeks and hair dressers are closed... She then said a friend of hers has an aquantance that is a hair dresser and is working for herself in secret in her basement so that's how she got the hair cut The audacity to sh*t talk ppl constantly then go get a haircut from someone illegally doing it right now when that stuff is supposed to be closed to reduce spread
