Bradley 57,491
Enigma is 2 years old! Enigma the residency is officially two years old. It premiered on 28th December 2018 and was critically acclaimed and commercially successful, and became the highest grossing Las Vegas concert of 2019, grossing $53.9 million with only fewer than 40 shows. She also consistently had a $1.5 million per night box office performance, with New Year shows going up to $1.8 million from a capacity of around 5500 per night. Here are some excerpts from critics (wikipedia): Spoiler Chris Willman from Variety called the Enigma show a "back-to-roots move for the superstar", as it focused on her "art and artifice of being spectacular", and complimented Gaga for singing live for the entirety of the two hours (). Mark Gray from People thought that the show was "highly energetic", which "lived up to the hype", and praised the theatricality of the show and the singer's connection with the audience Andreas Hale from Billboard thought that the "set pieces were just as grandiose and over-the-top as the performances themselves" and the outfits were "outrageously unique". Writing for Rolling Stone, Brittany Spanos highlighted the variety of the setlist and the use of props, while saying that "the best moments are the ones that feel improvised". She concluded her review by saying that Enigma "ended up becoming a show that confirms and begins her legacy". Entertainment Weekly journalist Marc Snetiker called the show "on the whole, rather nutty, (...) but Enigma the show is a damn good time, and it’s admirable in its attempts to elevate a greatest-hits gathering into something striving for more, something that perhaps even galvanized an artist in the peak of her career to take a Vegas residency in the first place." What's your favourite moment from Enigma? I personally believe it's her show with the strongest visuals. I was fortunate to be there and it was amazing in all regards. She served vocals that exceeded your usual Vegas acts, it was over the top af, it was the first theatrical show she produced ever since the Born This Way Ball, and it also retained the heartfelt, positive messages that her earlier shows had. On a side note, it also spawned this amazing mini museum: Spoiler It was also attended by Katy Perry, Adam Lambert, Regina King, Tom Cruise, Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, Bradley Cooper (I think with Todd Phillips?) and Tony Bennett. Can't wait for her to return to the Vegas stage. She probably still needs to finish the contract she signed with MGM.
MaryJaneHolland 77,348
I wonder if they will continue it or she managed to end the contract. It's still in her bio...

It’s about the blatant disrespect mixed with the timing and how her team ‘promoted’ it.

No it’s not that Gaga is being disrespectful obviously, I’m sure SHE had no malicious intent. But hear me out. She signed this residency in the same year as she canceled Rock In Rio and like a lot of European JWT dates. That’s fine. I’m the first to excuse her valid health problems to justify her not doing a worldwide tour. But she continually said she would come back to all these cities soon, and here we are in 2020. Also her team was telling a huge group of Monsters asking them if Gaga will come to their country, and her team just laughed in their face and told them to come to Vegas like it isn’t a super expensive trip the majority can’t afford or do. I have some questions. 1. Now with the benefit of hindsight, did you ever consider that she was under a contract to make a new album (Chromatica) during 2018-2019? And I don't even remember the last time a recording artist made a record on the road. It is simply financially and logistically more convenient and practical to make music in America, which is basically either NYC or California if u think about it. 2. Coupled with the 'severe pain' that left her hospitalised several times during the Joanne World Tour, does this make more sense to you now? 3. Is it Lady Gaga's responsibility to ensure every individual within her million-ranging fan community with populations in continents all over the world gets a chance to attend her show? Because, this really is not a necessity, but a luxury. 4. If yes, is it realistically feasible? 5. Is it Gaga's responsibility to help you earn money, reduce the financial expenses of your life, ensure you get top-class entertainment including covering things beyond her control like flight and hotel fees? I don't know what you want her to do about that considering she spent a year at her residency (2019) and the entire world shut down this past year (2020). It's completely irrational to hold that against her.
Bubblegum Bitch 18,934
It feels like the first show was yesterday! I remember watching it on Periscope at 4 or 5 a.m., unforgettable experience.
