Singer Jessie J spent Christmas Eve in the hospital after Meniere's disease left her unable to hear or walk properly.

The "Flashlight" star has opened up about her Thursday night drama during a recent Instagram chat, revealing her inner ear condition left her deaf and dizzy.

"I woke up and felt like I was completely deaf in my right ear, couldn't walk in a straight line," Jessie explains. "Basically I got told I had Meniere's syndrome."

"When I sing loud, it sounds like there's someone trying to run out of my ear... I am now watching (The) Queen's Gambit (show) with my finger in my ear. I've done the first episode 4 times because I zero focus and my ear sounds like someone crawled in and turned a hair dryer on."

Meniere's disease is an ear condition that can cause sudden attacks of vertigo.

"RuPaul's Drag Race" star Michelle Visage reached out to Jessie, revealing she too battled Meniere's, prompting the singer to add, "you have had it too? It's so weird and comes out of nowhere, merry Christmas."

My god... is this something you can recover from? Will she be able to hear and walk again at all? I hope she gets the treatment she needs and I hope mentally she is coping okay... I can't imagine how tough it is to have that happen to you so suddenly

I haven’t been diagnosed but I’ve had recurring ear problems in my right ear my whole life. I’m 28 and what she’s describing, I went through on and off a year or two ago. It’s honestly really scary with anxiety because it feels like your going to faint or something just walking to the bathroom because your balance is off. Usually not serious though.

She'll be able to walk fine after her vertigo passes. Meniere's disease is a disorder of the inner ear that comes and goes in episodes; the reason why she's having difficulty walking is because the condition in her ear right now makes her feel off-balance and dizzy. She's not paralyzed or wasting away in the legs or anything like that, just to be clear.

There are a variety of ways to try and control Meniere's disease, though not really a straight 'cure'. Hopefully she can get hers well-managed so that her episodes are infrequent or stop entirely!

That's pretty crazy to think that just our earing can make us unable to walk, I had really no idea.

Well thank God it's a come and go disease, I thought it was permanent after reading the title. I hope this won't affect her too often, particularly as a singer this must absolutely suck

Oh wow, this sounds like something I had earlier this summer (without the deafness and fainting). I just brushed this off as anxiety, but now that I think about it..

My dad has this!!! It will randomly come and go so it hit him for the first time last year and hasn’t hit since but it’s terrifying!!!! He didn’t know where he was or who he was and threw up a lot, i had to drive him to the hospital and he couldn’t walk at all. But after 3 days he was fine. It’s an extremely rare disease tho.

Yup, that's because a part of our inner ear (vestibular system) is heavily involved in our sense of balance

I had this for a couple years and it was made worse by anxiety. Totally awful and debilitating. Luckily it went away with time.

I heard it was a Christmas gift from Ariana! 😱

After their VMA’s performance together made Ariana deaf and wobbly for a short time, she was finally able to please the Illuminati enough to convince them to grant her revenge on Jessie after a failed attempt of conjuring up the hex with the release of Side To Side which was inspired by the incident because it had her “walkin’ Side To Side”.
