I'm genuinely asking cuz just because it's Trump doesn't mean stuff can't be made up about him either. And since he's so hated probably happens even more so It's one thing for him to try and abuse power to hold on, does he genuinely not understand he can't do that tho? For real? I heard the story from Maggie Habermann and Jonathan Swan, who both have reliable contacts in the WH. This story broke around the same time Axios was reporting that Trump started pressuring Pence to steal the election for him after being shook by a Lincoln Project ad that Pence was “pulling away from him” lmao. Also keep in mind this is the same guy who wanted to appoint SIDNEY POWELL to special counsel because she egged on his desire to use DHS and the military to overturn the election, only to realize that: A.) the president cannot appoint special counsel within the DOJ, only the AG can do that B.) and the DHS and military don’t have the authority to intervene in the election.
