Ok, so I don’t want this thread to get negative as there has been enough of that on this site for the past how many months...But why are people saying Gaga doesn’t care about her music career anymore? 

I’m not gonna be one of those people who constantly defends her as if she’s perfect because nobody is but, if she she didn’t care would she have even bothered with putting out an album this year with music videos, planned promo and performances? Yes there could be so much more to be done but we don’t know what’s happening behind the scenes if she’s struggling with something.

Also, I think it’s unfair to say that she doesn’t care about her fans anymore simply because she isn’t performing or doing promo when she’s been so close to us all thought out the years and people were just constantly tearing her down and making fun of her music, makeup and outfits etc. I don’t blame her for not wanting to talk to us lol.

I think she does still care, it’s just that I think that this era has been all sorts of messy and I don’t think her or her team knows what to do next. Hopefully within the new year new things will come and the era can get a restart!

I don’t blame her as Monsters are so mean lol (not all) but they constant attack her team and throw her under the bus, I hope she communicates with us more soon as I think she still loves us.

For some people promotion = caring 

They probably never staned an indie artist before and they are only familiar with big pop performers every week 

All u need to do is listen to her interviews from this year and you'll know how important this album is for her and how much she cares

This is the woman who did The Fame, The Fame Monster, Born This Way, ARTPOP eras (not talking about the music, just the ERAS). I find it weird that people don't see the difference between these eras where she was constanly creating art and the last 2 eras which were very very very far from them.
When you know Gaga's potential and see what she did during Joanne/Chromatica it's very frustrating

Many fans associate a lack of promotion with a disinterest in artistry. While that could be true, with Chromatica I do not think it's the case. As usual some Monsters with an insufficient skill for comprehension believe that when Gaga said in interviews that Bloodpop made her record, she meant it literally as in it was all his idea. In all the interviews she's done for the album this year, I've heard a passion in her voice about the music I haven't heard since Born This Way. If she was not interested in music anymore she wouldn't have bothered making a sonically perfect pop record.

We as a fanbase have always been very spoiled each album era with tons of promotion, photo shoots, performances etc. and none of that is happening now. It's natural for fans to feel disconnected with Lady Gaga. In many ways her quest to build a deep connection with her fans is now turning and biting her in the behind because the silence is deafening, if not concerning. The truth is we will never know why she has forgone promotion for the album and frankly its none of our business.

20 smthing years old and just started

vs.

30+, 12 years in the industry with chronic pain and mental problems + global pandemic

It's not like we don't see the difference, we just understand them

Probably the negative ones are probably bored and miserable with their lives that they need to live their fantasies through Gaga’s album eras. (This is a hypothetical thought, maybe...)

A lot of fans seem to forget she was nearly worked to death (literally) during the end of the Born This Way era and early ARTPOP era. I empathize with their frustrations. I am sad this album is being paid dust. I wish we were being fed content like other fan bases are, but we are not.  Seeing "fans" who make it their life's purpose to trash talk and call her a disgusting b!t(h on a daily basis is very distressing; especially after everything Gaga has done in the last 12 years for us.

Fam, if people can be honest, they already see the drive isn't there anymore.

She, herself said it in hindsight during Chromatica interviews on how she feels pressured on doing this album, she had to had  BLOODPOP cheering her up to get her going during the recording process.

She have more things that she is interested to do now. And that's OK. She just need to be honest about it to herself and her fans, it isn't asking much honestly.
