I don't legitimately believe he wants it out of the "goodness" of his heart. It's a mess, though, and as insufficient as it is....small restaurants, etc. NEED the $ in the bill. Basically, what a hot mess. I understand why some didn't want the bill to pass because it's insufficient, but I also understand why some progressives like Barbara Lee voted for it because as sh*tty as it is...the $$ are badly needed by so many small businesses right now. Also, unemployment needs to be extended. Seriously, the restaurant industry is being destroyed. My delulu as* thought after the Dems and even some of the Republicans got on board with $1200 that at least that would pas...f*ck Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. I hate them so much. We still should have 2k, but I was surprisingly shocked that like...75% of the pols (dem & rep) were in favor of 1200. I just can't with Cruz lately...like between this and him blocking the bill to allow people from Hong Kong an easier time to come to the US due to the political unrest (a bill that had a ton of support from Democrats and Republicans) and him trying to overturn the election...ugh. I used to hate Mitch McConnell the most out of all of the politicians (even more than Trump) but Cruz is creeping up there to be my no.1 most hated. Also, this is exactly what the Democrats offered and Mitch McConnell shut down. This is a distraction from Trump throwing a literal tantrum and trying to burn the government down with him.
