socotra 3,310
Artists who you didn't like at first, but now you follow them/fan/stan For me: Taylor Swift I didn't like any of her pre-Red stuff, but I loved Red, and she really snatched me up with 1989 and Reputation. Lover and Folklore sealed the deal. I don't stan her to the level I do Ariana Grande or Gaga, but she's released so consistently throughout my formative years that it's hard not to look at songs like Red, All Too Well, Style, Clean, Call It What You Want, End Game, Lover, Cornelia Street, Cardigan, Last Great American Dynasty, Gold Rush, and Willow with a special sentimentality. She's one of those artists where, until recently, I was never aware how much I liked her. It just kinda snuck up after several albums where I was like, "oh ****, not only do I have most of her discography, a lot of her songs I tie to important eras of my own life." Ariana Grande I'd been pretty meh towards her until No Tears Left to Cry, which got me on the first listen in a way her prior material hadn't (except for Love Me Harder and Break Free). I *LOVED* Sweetener, and then TUN has been an especially important album to me throughout college, and I thoroughly enjoyed Positions. But Sweetener and TUN completely changed my perspective on Ariana. Then I rediscovered a lot of her earlier stuff that, as my music tastes have changed, I now love (Into You in particular). wbu? moonsago 7,285
BTS - not because I didn’t like them, I was just indifferent and meh-ish about them and would turn away from listening to their stuff until last year and... I’m a hardcore stan now Taylor Swift - I liked some of her songs before 1989 but I didn’t particularly like her because of all the media hate she was getting back then about dating and me being an impressionable teen at that time I missjudged her which I feel bad about now because it was seriously so wrong of me and tbh the media as well. The sl*t shaming and dating shaming was REAL back then and we don’t talk enough about how much she was torturned during that time for just DATING like any other young person. I love her now and I’ve loved or liked all the projects since then and I plan on listening to all her albums soon. Dua Lipa - I loveee her, but I only started doing it this year after giving her a proper chance with Future Nostalgia even though I’ve actually known about her since she was a reallyyyy small act. I listened to some of her songs before and liked them but then something happened, idk what, she just put me off a little which again, I feel sooo bad about now cause ugh... I’m not a judgmental person usually, I work really hard not to be but when it comes to artists sometimes media and the things u read and see can change your perspective on them which sucks cause most of the time it’s not even true and it instigates these iffy feelings in people about that person and its just unfair. And we should talk more about this I feel like because I bet you most of the people who don’t like a certain celebrity is because of an article or missinformation they have read/heard and ever since that moment that artist became an iffy one to them. xoxo Craig 55,649
Taylor Swift. I hated her persona pre-Lover, and I found the reputation era to be extremely cringeworthy. But there was something about the whole Lover era that made me appreciate her. I've gone off of her again though because of Folklore and Evermore End Racism Now

IDK why, but for me, Evermore's just like 10x better than Folklore. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎

Anderson123 38,293
Lana Del Rey - I listened to Born To Die, then Paradise around the time both albums came out and didn't get the hype about her. Then Ultraviolence came out, didn't really care about it either. When I listened to High by the Beach I liked the song, then with Lust For Life she had a couple of great songs in there. Norman Rockwell now is one of my favorite albums from start to finish. Dua Lipa - I listened to her debut album but only the singles were ok, Future Nostalgia was a step up. Taylor Swift - I never cared about her music until Blank Space came out, super catchy and a great music video, then I loved Style and Out of the Woods. Flawless 2,234
The Weeknd. Knew his bops and all but only this year I took time to listen to his discography and I ended up loving everything. The same with Little Mix, I feel like I was under a rock. These girls are pure talent. the scars on my mind are on replay.

Guest
Taylor. I didn't start liking her until the Red era (in fact, when We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together came out my best friend was obsessed with her and she kept trying to get me to get into her) and then from there I went back to Speak Now and followed her ever since.
