Everything is more in line with the Donner style Superman films and less gritty and grounded than the first one. It has the message of hope apparently which comes just at the right time. The story is sort of vapid and trite if you REALLY think about it critically, but it's entertaining and enjoyable as a fun action flick. All around good performances and decent action scenes, I especially LOVE Kristen Wiig and the energy she brings to Cheetah.
