REALITY 75,474
I loved it. The only thing I disliked about the episode (and this was a small nitpick) was that they didn't cast someone else as Luke. I'm sorry, but the weird deepfake thing just doesn't sit right with me. Personally, I'd love to see them cast Sebastian Stan! I loved everything else about the episode though, and I thought it was a great finale. This whole season's been great. I'm excited to see where they'll go next! I can't wait for the Ahsoka show 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎

It is Star Wars universe, hence, every canon moves, games , books, and TV shows, and every canon characters showing up in any shows fills the gap for their own story line. It's not like they bring back someone for the sheer nostalgia. But that is exactly what it feels like to me! The thing is I want something new from Star Wars, but clearly everyone is happy with getting the same old over and over again. I would have been happy if The Mandalorian did not once step on Tatooine or encounter a familiar face for most of the show. Instead every single episode is like “Hey remember this thing! Or this guy! Or this place!” I was really interested in finding out more about yoda’s Species, about Mandalorian culture (like outside of the extreme sect he was part of), his past (as an adult vs the kid backstory which is all we got), and exploring more subtle or lesser known aspects of the Star Wars universe, instead we got all the same stuff all over again. And now Boba Fett has taken over Jabba’s fortress. How exciting. It feels like an 8 year old’s wish fulfillment fanfic than a story written by professionals. But I understand it clearly appeals to a lot of people and brings joy. I just don’t feel that way.
Stanley Digaga 975
I loved the episode ! I don't care if the cgi wasn't perfect, Luke fighting the dark troopers was epic. The story make sense and combat scenes was good. I hope all the Star Wars series Disney recently announced will be on that level.

I don't think you necessarily need to know anything, but it does add a lot of "emotional connection" if you at least watched the first 3 movies (episodes 4-6), since the show takes place a bit after episode

I think you can watch the show casually. That said, it would really, really help if you knew more about the Star Wars universe before jumping in. There's some great characters in the show that you don't really fully appreciate unless you know them from previous movies/shows. 🦠🧙♀️🥀📸🎉👻🕺🧟💊💖☎️🔪👤🐺🌱🌎

Not sure how he would look as a blonde but I would love to see his spin on the character. Also would love to see more of Ahsoka, like I said I never watched Clone Wars but her character design always appealed to me.

Yes I agree, there might be too much going on. But they didn't announced any date I think, so I don't think we will get everything soon. Of course not everything is going to be good but this first Star Wars serie make things look promising.

The original trilogy is still the best to me.

The first season not really. The second season is more elaborative, it will help if you know the lore, and it is bridging the gap on timeline between the original trilogy and the animated show, (Clone Wars), especially. Though you can still watch it on its own, but there may be easter eggs, cameos, etc. here and there that will go over your head. skaxboy 5,176
I enjoyed this season and loved this episode. I’m planning on buying a new TV and am gonna rewatch it once I do. This episode was great. It had great fight scenes, the Dark Troopers were awesome, and teased a throne to Mandalore story in the future. I cried so much at that ending when Grogu touched Mandos helmet and then took it off. I didn’t think they would part ways so soon but I’m guessing it’s one of those things that gets addressed by the first few episodes of next season. I thought the ending was very fan servicey with Luke and R2 but I still enjoyed it. I kinda wanted the show to keep way from those characters but its okay because this doesn’t necessarily mean we will even see Luke frequently. Who knows. Even if they release the next season in October 2021, it seems so far away.

But it really adds stong emotions like when you stumble upon lost friends and foes ... Besides, the original trilogy and the Clone Wars and Rebels animated series is enough to enjoy The Mandalorian as a link between both. Watching the whole shebang will give you more in-depth details about important characters and story arcs... but mainly... I love her so much. Fans were all in for Ashley Eckstein as Ahsoka. She did a great job voicing the character in the animated eps. But I always has my eyes on Rosario since day one. I always thought Ahsoka animated was modeled on her ! Late to the party but I got a diamond heart
