Revisiting Joanne.

I still think it's great but I have to admit I haven't listened to it in a while, I think you need to be in a certain mood to listen to it and I just haven't been in it. But I do think it's great, some of her best music is in there.

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Not my favorite album, but I look back at the era fondly and it has some great songs. It’s also nice that she has a country/Americana/folk type of album in her discography showing her musical diversity even further. Joanne (Where Do You Think You’re Going?) [Piano Version] and Grigio Girls are my favorites.

I just feel bad that it failed Gaga personally because it never got to ‘heal’ her dad and family’s trauma and she clearly seemed still upset about this in her recent interviews. I also feel like she clearly was inauthentic and clearly hurting throughout the era and I think Gaga agrees.

Tell me who dressed you, where’d you get that hat? Why’s she crying? What’s the price tag? Who’s that girl Malibu Gaga? Looks so sad what is this saga?’

I see this as a clear reflection of her mental state during this era.

A Very Gaga Holida

I think it's really a demo album, but I feel like it's the point. I love most of the songs, I like the rest. There's just one song I don't like even from time to time. My favorite half of the album has to be the 2nd.

The album cover? I think it's top 3 of her discography.

The music videos? Globally, um, hehe

The era? Exciting!! Felt fresh and gave us cool surprises

The lyrics? Love them, some of her best lyrics are from this album

The production? Not my favorite style but it's good

Her vocals? Great and kinda bad at the same time, but I guess that's the point. The vulnerability.

The concept? It's great, but misunderstood because executed in a messy way

Is it a good album? Fvck yeah

Not really my cup of tea. It tries to be authentic and personal but Chromatica does a better job at letting us into her mind and heart. Joanne seems just like Gaga putting on a cowgirl costume for a few months.

It's a good album :queenga:

Hey Girl remains as one of her best songs ever. Fight me.

Millions Reasons is kinda a classic.

So, Joanne won.

It's a really great album and I still listen to it like once a month. It adds a nice touch of versatility in Gaga's discography.

I love it, for me it's aged well. Of course there are tracks, which ones I always skip...yes, Hey Girl.

The rest of the album is very enjoyable and the highlights are obviously Million Reasons, John Wayne, Diamond Heart. I loved PI when it came out, I remember that time I moved to the capital and while I discovered the city I was listening to PI all day long. The instrumental at the bridge is awesome, what a pity her screams are hiding those catchy things.

Diamond Heart should have been the lead single with a badass music video, missed opportunity of course again.

It's a good album overall.
