It doesn't match the album, it doesn't match her discography 

Every other artwork was made by her, this one wasn't

I'm just going to pretend she didn't changed that at all

It literally represents the allegory of Miss Anthropocene slaying the Earth, that’s precisely the concept 

Grimes is the artist, I think she knows better than anyone else what best represents her music or not.
