The far left will remain a small-tent faction, and continue losing all major elections, as long as y’all continue to bully the fvck out of people. You’re very out of touch with regular people and what they want. Your assurance means nothing. And you guys are always the ones demanding proof of our claims but your word is supposed to be good enough for me? Come on. I didnt advocate for the furthest left candidate for this position but lets not kid ourselves and act as if there isnt a huge spectrum to the left of Pete. As for me and my friends, we always call out the neoliberals. My comment was to other lefty members who said we had to swallow it and vote for Joe and push him left after the fact. This placement and others is proof that that idea was a fools errand. There is no pushing Joe left or his administration and the people who voted for Joe with that in mind wasted their vote. Not this coming from centrist Dems who elected Hillary Clinton who lost to DONALD TRUMP. People HATED her so much that they voted for DONALD TRUMP. You cannot be more out of touch than that. Yay I’m pretty sure I got called a NeoLiberal dirtbag for saying that people make mistakes lol when people in this thread know maybe 10% of my political thoughts. No wonder the Republicans can’t work with the far left, they don’t even work with their own party. People do realize that they can say Buttigieg is super dirty all they want but even people like Preston-Williams who RAN AGAINST BUTTIGIEG and said that he wasn’t serving the South Bend POC the best way possible is now quoted as saying that she knows he means well and that “everybody is always out for dirt” y’all act like if you were the Mayor of a small town for the first time that you wouldn’t **** up some things. Please stop lying to yourselves if you think you’d please everybody. He got hundreds of thousands of dollars invested into his town and revitalized South Bend and it caused him to win with like 80% of the vote (only 55% democrat in South Bend)... also those houses were unoccupied for 90 days, I’d like to see the research that shows the hat a majority of those houses displaced POC. I’m sure it had an impact but I was under the impression a MAJORITY of those houses were unoccupied for at least 3 months before any work was done. Oh and FYI THE POLICE CHIEF BROKE FEDERAL WIRETAPPING LAWS BLACK OR WHITE YOU CANNOT KEEP THAT PERSON ON. RECORDING LINES IS ILLEGAL HELLO PEOPLE. Can you imagine if the white police chief was recording black officers? The uproar wouldn’t been massive for Buttigieg to fire him but no call me a trump loving neoliberal dirtbag it’s fine lol edit: point blank, Buttiegieg is not perfect and I realize he made some mistakes which he has since even owned up to in his own writing. But I don’t think he’s nearly as good awful as some of you think lol

He wants money out of big politics, he’s pro abortion rights, he wants to rejoin the Paris Agreement, he wants to decriminalize marijuana...and back in 2019 he proposed the “Douglass Plan”. He’s also anti capitol punishment. He’s also pro national FML and he’s for the New Green Deal which at least shows he cares about the environment. He also wants to federally raise minimum wage and lower the cost of college for American’s. Not to mention he’s adapted a “Medicare for All” approach...granted a lot of these things are things I believe in. But am I missing something else? I clicked that link to see how they showed that he was “anti black” but they didn’t have any sources or examples of anything other than people in his town feeling like they were left out? Is there more? Genuinely trying to have a conversation here. On the Douglass plan: The initiative would allocate $10 billion to African-American entrepreneurship over five years, grant $25 billion to historically black colleges, legalize marijuana, expunge drug convictions, halve the federal prison population, and propose a federal New Voting Rights Act designed to increase voting access. MANiCURE1295 8,673
People are in here blaming Buttigieg for traffic accidents and US systemic racism in the police force.....Yes traffics accidents occurred just like they do everywhere else under Mayor Buttigieg, and yes police discrimination was an issue, just like in a lot of ****ing towns and cities in the US. And I think he even admitted that he needed to do better in that regard as long as he was mayor. Some in here clearly want to pin every single issue on him, “BUTTIGIEG DIDN’T FIGURE OUR WORLD HUNGER WHEN HE WAS MAYOR HOW TERRIBLE” I’m pretty sure you all here hate him more than his own town did LOL based off his massive reelection numbers.... ONCE AGAIN, he wasn’t perfect, literally no human is, but I still don’t think he’s the vicious bloodsucking psycho some of you are making him out to be

Bernie was the Chair of the Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee while the VA crashed and burned, and it is the one fully SOCIALIST program the US has. Period.com I literally said in my previous post that I didn't need you to validate my lived experience I quite literally lived in South Bend while and after Pete was mayor, and I know how proud citizens were/are of him. Literally almost everybody. You basically got a round of applause for walking into a room with a "Pete" shirt on. I only say this because you and other have tried to paint an inaccurate picture of South Bend residents hating Pete. But that's wrong. Nearly everything y'all have pointed out as "failures" are not and have never been blamed on Pete by his actual constituents — just far left very-online people. 1 hour ago, Morphine Prince said: Win with policy, not identity politics only privileged liberals give a damn about. MANiCURE1295 8,673
It’s already been said and states multiples in here how hard it would be to pass “Medicare for All” hence Buttigieg took the middle road and tired to come up with a “Medicare for All..Who Want It” approach Buttigieg would create an optional government insurance plan into which uninsured people would be automatically enrolled and people with employer-sponsored insurance would be permitted to join. He also wants to expand federal subsidies for private insurance purchased on the Obamacare marketplaces, making them more generous and lifting the income eligibility cap that currently leaves many middle-class families cut off from federal assistance. He covers other ground as well, proposing a fix for surprise medical bills and an out-of-pocket spending cap for Medicare beneficiaries. This VERY MUCH reflects the leftward shift, though not as far as Bernie or Warren (whom I love) You all gotta realize that the more moderate candidates aren’t going to be willing to scrap private coverage entirely.... "I mean, the reality is, all these beautiful proposals we all put forward, their impact is kind of multiplied by zero if you can't actually get it through Congress, and it's one of the reasons why I do favor the approach that I have” - Pete Buttigieg

Black support isn't identity politics LMAO. You NEED black support in the Democratic Party. Who cares if officials supported him? The voters is what matters. When will y'all learn? When I say identity politics I'm talking about weaponizing his homosexuality to claim anyone who doesn't support him and his horrible policies is homophobic.
