Taylor Swift has clearly always wanted to be the worlds biggest pop star. Everyone that requires that level of validation from their “fav” should just become a Swifty.  Wishing Gaga was more like Taylor doesn’t change reality.

Totally agree with this sentiment. I’m fine with her exploring other avenues for artistic growth besides music...however the one thing that has been lacking a bit is the ARTISTRY itself.

Taylor is 31, and had her biggest era in 2015, Gaga is almost 35 and had her biggest era in 2009. Gaga wants success in music, film and branding. It is not as easy to balance those three as monsters presume. Fighting to be the biggest popstar, at the expense of other goals for Gaga is not a good plan for her longterm career.

I'm just glad that I stan a woman which has connection to rich tech guys and was able to raise millions to fund organizations to fight the pandemic.

She also played an active role in the election of her country despite the probable backlash.

She have this foundation on-going as well as some kindness initiative in the form of a book.

She also nabbed a leading role on a film and is set to play a supportive role on another.

Oh yeah, she have some small businesses here and there with some cute collaborations with a staple food brand.

Although her engagement to global and political issues are quite alarming and leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, I still find it amusing that such a person can do that. 

Honestly, she had done so much this year, it may not be about her own music. To some people, those just doesn't count since it's not about pop.

 

Although I agree with the sentiments here since most of you lot stanned her as an MPG. However, she's not that enigmatic crazy weird pop girl nowadays. She's delving with different facets of her talents and trying to explore them. All the meanwhile being active on social (and even medical) issues. 

 

I like so many pop artists but I've never encountered one that matches her repertoire. In a chess game, she's like the queen. She can move in all directions and have higher reach than her peers.

Yeah, I don't know really how the timing worked out in the US, but certainly here in Europe from about the middle of March we knew we were in big trouble, and people would have been backing off everything from that point on.

I do think she is slowly running out of love with the concept of creating a world / era around her music. The whole pop star creativity thing is dwindling with her over time. She cuts eras short or makes them so sparse that you feel like her eras are incomplete ever since ARTPOP tbh. BUT I wouldn't say she is falling out of love with MUSIC itself like many ppl in the comments here are hinting at...I think she still genuinly adores everything about music and creating it (even when it is painful). It's just everything else that she is losing interest in which saddens me because stanning Gaga was due to the full package but I am ok with just becoming a fan of only her music and not her eras as a whole I guess.
