Her album El Mal Querer is a combination of modern-day pop and reggaeton (two of the most listened and popular music genres in Spain and Latin America) with traditional folk and flamenco melodies. The instrumentals were pop and R&B-driven while the aesthetic and core sound was something flamenco and this is the reason why she was so praised. And lately she is doing almost pure Latin pop.
