Cher reveals a man tried to kill her in 1982 but fans came to her rescue

Cher has revealed a man once tried to kill her when she headed to work for a Broadway performance in New York City in 1982 but fans came to her rescue after she was dragged into an alley by the person.
In interview for The Guardian's G2 Magazine she discussed how she "doesn’t like going out now because everybody’s got a camera and it’s not safe. People rush you, and you don’t know if they’re going to kill you or take your picture. Either way, I don’t like it.", she reflected: 'I had a man try to kill me'.

Mhmm that happened. She wasn’t remotely bothered by it at the time, it seemed like, but she could have also been projecting and suppressing her anxiousness to deal with it because if it were me, even if I was aight with the people, I would still be weirded out af from that.
