I feel like we argue too much and we don't take the time to appreciate her artistry, or we haven't as of late. I think it'd be a good time to share love and appreciation for this era and share the good times we had this year and the previous years. How did Gaga impact you? What are your favorite songs and looks? What is one song that you can really relate to? What about Gaga do you love and how did you get to know her? I follow Gaga because she is a good person dedicated to helping others, spreading kindness and love, and setting a good example. River 115,544 Posted December 14, 2020 Share Posted December 14, 2020 I don't need a thread or elite fans to tell me or remind me to appreciate and how to appreciate Lady Gaga, I appreciate her but sometimes I appreciate less so I judgement some of her choices, no biggie, no hysteria, but it doesn't change what I feel about her, her music, her artistry it's a positive judgement and tbh it's not like she's listening to me, I mean, I'm just one tiny fan among thousands so my voice is not even heard, but I'm honest, I can't stay positive with a big smile all the time, I was not drawn that way, I'm sorry, but it doesn't mean that I'm a less of a fan or GGD is not my place, these threads are trying to be positive but in reality they are just judgy and depressing. I never gave it a fair chance but after rewatching some old performances I felt I had to try again. I also love the fact that she is unafraid to switch genres and styles in a way that no other famous person in living memory has been, and I think that's what her legacy will be. I know how you feel. We all go through phases where we don't have the same excitement as everyone else. I really disliked ARTPOP. I'm sorry you feel judged. For what it's worth I don't see you or anybody else as less of a fan. I do think we need threads like these though because sometimes the negative opinions are louder than the positive ones and it's like people forget the reason they're here in the first place so we need something good to counteract the bad. I never paid the slightest attention to the freaky plastic popstar until I was in a friend's house and he put on the Shallow video from ASIB and I went 'who the f is that' and a stan was born. Since then I have soaked up as much as possible of her discography and career and she is now my favourite alltime artist. As a person, I find her very likeable and just great fun. She is a mischievous little imp and she makes me smile. At its best, her voice produces the most gorgeous sound I've heard in music. I love Chromatica, I find it uplifting every time. I love Chromatica more than any of her album, I swear, it brought so many nostalgia to me, so should I apology for wanting more? and I do it as politely as possible, but some days I wake up on the other side or my medicine kills me so I'm just a bit more grumpy here, but it's still not in a end of the world kind of situation, I think my bitchy days are kinda over? most people can handle me here now, even at my worst, which is almost not worst at all.. it's just grumpy old man lol I don't feel that I'm negative, I think Chromatica just brought back the 90s kid in me so I had so many expectations and covid just took those expectations away from me so I just want a little bit of spark of what is left.. Truly, I don't intend to seem like an elite fan. I know many are disappointed because Chromatica had so much to it, but at least it isn't over yet. I just want to take the time to focus on the good things and maybe bring people back to what made them a fan. For me, I thought Gaga was satanic before. I first discovered her in 2009 and finally started to really get into her at the end of 2017 and it has been such a fun ride. I like Gaga so much. Last year I was pretty much suicidal every day and Gaga was the #1 reason I stuck around. She saved my life and helped me accept myself and I'll never forget that. I love you, Gaga.
