also just to add: he did admit to it but he also said in the same breath that not all the allegations are true, something all these male celebs seem to be doing nowadays. They’ll apologize and say that they’re sorry and admit to some of the stuff but not to everything. Seems to be a trend. Make of that what you will.

Also this is only a civil case and it will probably be settled out of court. I'm all for woman coming forward so that an investigation is made and we can have a chance to see what the truth is. So that the guilty party if there is guilt can be punished. Unless I read the entire article too fast she doesn't seem to be bringing up criminal charges against him, this is only a civil lawsuit.

It just proves what the world has shown me over and over again, most people whatever they claim or say, in their hearts they hate women and think (subconsciously at least) that they are worthless. It’s been something that has contributed immensely to my depression over the years, being female feels like a curse that was put on me instead of the natural thing it is.

So many people (even if they don't realize it, like you said) don't view women as people. This is a huge part of why women don't come forward, because a lot of people jump on the chance to sympathize with abusers instead of victims. Being in an abusive situation is already so alienating, and then even if you leave that situation people will look down on you for having been a victim. It's just shocking to me that so many people openly have this bias against women who come forward about being assaulted (not that I'm seeing any hate towards Twigs in this thread, but I've seen it a lot in other cases).
