If it's filled (which will sink if that's the case) then the air resistance on that point of trajectory won't affect it's position. It's not the same thing but looking at the graph below, a filled can wont flip on the trajectory path, instead it will carry on head first until it reaches the vertex or impacts the target position. I don't see air resistance nor wind playing a factor seeing that the lake is quite serene.
