I don't know a lot about Sia being racist, but these don't look good...:toofunny:WuZ9IpKmP4N7kfZljphU.png

It’s not a blackface. She painted herself for a performance. Please do your research before coming for somebody like this.

I'm not gonna defend her as there are points being made about the portrayal of autistic people on films, but these SJW act as if they are above her and everyone else.

Humans make mistakes everytime. If it's difficult to even acknowlegde those mistakes when you're a random person, I can't even imagine the pressures for a public figure to make things 100% right and yet being judged by some anonymous people behind the screens. I bet most people that are asking to cancel her didn't even know autism came in different spectrums, yet they are ready to attack and display hatred and nonsense.

People need to f off and leave her alone lol. She has already explained herself for all the things that have been posted here. She's one of the most inclusive artists today and people will try to find the smallest detail to bring it up on Twitter and "cancel" her.

Another day, another people jumping into conclusion without facts. I hate cancel culture, when it is used to cancel people who do not deserve it. Use it to cancel real people who deserve it.

Aren't her sons black as well if I can recall? Her adopted sons? The sons that were ageing out of the foster system that she brought into her family?

And as for the ableist part, doesn't she herself have bipolar and Grave's disease? I truly find it hard to believe that she would willingly go out of her way to be problematic to the disabled community. Her response to criticism concerning her casting choices may have not been the most graceful but COME ON people.

Ableist and racist, for a start

WTF? I really don't understand people saying she is ableist or racist.

1. She made a movie to portray life of a specific autistic girl. She didn't say every autistic person acts that way. It's a MOVIE!! And she even said in an interview that she feels really close to autistic people and she is really compassionate about them. I could really feel her emotion.

2. She adopted two black sons.

Did you even actually read what was written?

As if it makes a difference if it’s a movie or a music video but yes I did read it

Right? As if it’s impossible to find an autistic actor suitable for the role. If the role went to a random actor then it might not have been picked up on, but Sia cast her pet project/protégée (with whom she has an inappropriate relationship IMO)

Sia is LEGITIMATELY one of the kindest, most caring artists out there. Look at the amazing list of charity, goodwill, and general positivity she has done/ put into the world. Her reaction to the backlash of her movie WAS in poor taste, but it was solely based on the fact that she TRULY cares about the movie and TRULY cares about the message of it. She based the character off of a severely autistic child who she KNOWS (he came with his mom to the AA meetings, which Sia also attended). Someone with the diagnosis that the character has in the movie would not be able to play the character, as it would be cruel to try and make someone that severely autistic to "act" in a Hollywood film...

It's so sad how QUICKLY people want to cancel such a kindhearted soul because of a bad reaction to criticism that clearly hurt her feelings. She made a mistake, but does one mistake completely negate the YEARS of kindness and positivity she has put into this world?
