This rumour is being around since October (at least) and it has been commented on (a lot) so I am a bit surprised that many people haven't found out before... According to Grace Randolph (who has great sources, tbh ) this 18+ section will be for all their R-Rated content from FOX and to access you will need to enter a PIN code (so kids don't have access to that content, obvi )

And... I hope Black Widow does well in Premier Access (if they decide to move its release date again)  I wanted to see it in theaters but it's very likely that they will send it to D+

They've been branching out for a long time with Touchstone and Hollywood Pictures, that produced the majority of the Weinstein movies and some of Tarantino's, like Pulp Fiction, and others. I imagine they bought Fox to consolidate the streaming content for Disney+ and to have enough adult content to create an adult-oriented streaming service that could one day join or replace Hulu.

The Disney brand itself and the company's brand are two different assets. The company has been producing adult content almost since the beginning, but never under the Disney brand which is focused on family content. That's why there were rumors Disney+ and Hulu were being joined together or that the company was creating an alternate streaming service called Star to replace Hulu internationally, so I don't know how an 18+ section in Disney+ would look taking all of that into account.

Disney plus is so weird with kids ratings. When you put the child filter it literally blocks Moana, one of my nieces fave Disney movies. So I have to unfilter their accounts. 

I hope this isn't a mess for Disney.

I think they plan on expanding in Asia during 2021, so it won't be much longer.
