I don't even have a Mac, and if you're able to afford a newer iPhone with no ports then you should be able to afford at least a computer with Bluetooth, which is compatible with the iPhone and can still be used to transfer files. Well but not only there are alternatives to Bluetooth, it's also a technology that could be improved. You can't expect using cables forever, technology has to go forward. And if you don't like Apple taking the lead, then buy an older iPhone or an Android. But if we have the technology to get rid of cables, then by all means do it. I would have loved USB-C charging since all my other electronics use it, but the magnetic charging is great and I only use that now. The biggest problem I see with magnetic charging is that it’s pretty bulky as opposed to a simple cable... Also not a huge fan of facial recognition, but the screen size is so nice... would like to see the return of Touch ID, but only if they can have it work on the screen (would be amazing if you can put your finger anywhere on the screen). These ports take up valuable space inside that could be used for, chips, batteries or more complex cameras so they took away earphone jacks or charging ports. In that same vein a Home Screen button takes up valuable screen space.
